PhD Student | Researcher | CSWE

Hey there! Welcome to my personal webpage. My name is Md. Jahid Hasan. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Philosophy in Biosystems Engineering at Auburn University, USA, and acting as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Bioenergy and Bioproducts. Previously, I completed my B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh. I have been actively conducting academic research for five years with true dedication and passion for excellence and dedicating all my efforts to hone my skills as an avid researcher in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Modeling and Simulation (M&S). This has been reflected in my achievements, including 30+ publications in peer-reviewed journals, many certifications, professional memberships, research awards, contributions to the peer-review process, etc.

My research interests, although not limited to, include CFD in thermofluids applications, Heat and mass transfer, Fuel Combustion, Aerodynamics, Vortex generators, Phase Change Materials and Data-driven Machine Learning etc. My current research focus includes heat transfer augmentation using nanoparticle-integrated Phase Change Materials incorporating fin geometries for thermal energy storage applications, optimization using Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Climate prediction using Machine learning, Turbine cooling using rib geometries, cooling enhancement in the microchannel heat sink, drag force minimization using the adjoint method for underwater flow physics, etc. During my time at IUT, I conducted research on heat transfer enhancement in helical heat exchangers using water-based nanofluids, cooling enhancement of EGR coolers using vortex generators, and effective lattice design of motorbike helmets etc.

My professional goal is to become a Research Scientist/Research Professor, contributing towards the development of novel computational methods and experiments for groundbreaking inventions.
