WINNER (Top 1% among 700 teams) – Team IUT Innovator

We had won the Bicchuron nationwide innovative idea competition on renewable energy, organized by Young Bangla, in association with the Power Cell of the Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources and Green Delta Insurance Company. The competition, titled ‘Bicchuron’, was aimed at encouraging youth to share fresh and innovative ideas on the renewable energy sector to make power available for all and contribute to the overall sustainable development of Bangladesh. The competition was held on 21 October 2019, and our project was titled “Combined Powerplant Design by Harnessing Wave Energy & Wind Energy with ‘Searaser’ and ‘Wind Turbine’ – for Saint Martin’s Island”. Our project was selected as the winner among numerous entries from all over the country, which is a testament to the hard work and dedication that we put into it. We were able to come up with an innovative solution that addresses the energy needs of an isolated island and harnesses the power of both wave and wind energy. Our design not only provides a sustainable energy source for the island but also contribute to the overall sustainable development of the country. Being a part of this competition was a great opportunity for me to contribute to the sustainable development of Bangladesh and to make a positive impact on the lives of people living on Saint Martin’s Island. TechnoCAD - Inter University CAD competiton in Mindsparks 2020

Champion – Team ANTS

We had secured the champion postion of TechnoCAD in Mindsparks 2020, a national Mechanical Festival organized by AUST Innovation and Design Club. We competed against a total of 34 teams in the competition and emerged as the winner. My teammates Shamaita Shabnam (MPE’ 16) and Jahiduzzaman Tanvin (MPE’ 17) were an integral part of the team and contributed to our success. Participating in Mindsparks 2020 was an incredible opportunity for us to showcase our skills and knowledge in the field of Mechanical Engineering. We put in a lot of hard work and dedication to prepare for the competition and it was incredibly satisfying to see our efforts pay off. Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, an international event named Cognizance, IIT Roorkee in India was canceled where we were supposed to participate in the same segment of the competition, it was a disappointment for us. But winning the national competition is a significant achievement in itself and is a testament to our abilities and expertise in the field.
